A Journey of Signing Out
Ok jobs. Sign me out.
That happened first time in my life last year this time around. Marked 7 years at Tripaneer, I resigned for good. The company had grown so much so from only a few employees to 350+ team members. Honestly, I couldn't have been more proud of it. 7 years later, I grew a lot compared to the first time I joined the team. This happened thanks to all the team members, my managers, and of course the founder who believed in me since day-1.
After leaving this wonderful Dutch company, I joined a Singaporean health company and stayed with the team for about 8 months. I was rather surprised that I quit sooner than expected. It seemed out of my style to quit early. hahaha. My experience with this company was okay in a way I learned a lot too, including witnessing unexpected possibilities that might happen to a start-up. I should say the team itself was great. They're great people with good vision.
Fast forward to this year when I build my own company. One thing that I never had in mind let alone to make it happen before 30. What inspires me to build this platform is my own journey. Looking back, people were unfamiliar with remote work ideas and I personally had no idea of what opportunities were ahead.
Ten years then since I had my first remote job, I'm beyond thankful to experience many things, learn lots of knowledge, meet many people, and grow myself as a being.
I want others to get the opportunity to experience the same thing. If I can be totally blunt and based on my experience, the remote job always offers better pay compared to locals. I know that will benefit people too! Who doesn't need money right? With whatever we have in life, there'll be a time when having money helps us to face things better. I want to share all the good things and benefits of remote jobs with my friends and many more.
That's why I build Trust Remote. I genuinely hope that we can help others to get better jobs and better life. I hope there'll come time for those in need but skilful to be no worry about money and get what they deserve.
